Arthdal Chronicles: The Sword of Aramoon is the upcoming installment of the Arthdal Chronicles series. It delves into the mythical land of Arth, where the fate of the land is shaped by the wielder of the sword.
The drama tells the story of the intertwined destinies of Ta Gon (Jang Dong Gun), Eun Seom (Lee Joon Gi), Tan Ya (Shin Se Kyung), and Tae Al Ha (Kim Ok Bin). It takes place 8 years after Ta Gon took the throne.
Jang Dong Gun plays the role of Ta Gon, the leader of the Arthdal Union, who initiates a great war to seize absolute power. Previously, his power of intelligence and strength, which enabled him to emerge as The Hero of Arthdal, was shown. But his lust for absolute might makes him no less dangerous than any vicious enemy.

Lee Joon Gi takes on the roles of the identical twins Eun Seom and Saya. Eun Seom is the unifying leader of the Agos, and Saya was adopted by Ta Gon and raised by Tae Al Ha while living most of his life in the Fortress of Fire. The roles were previously played by Song Joong Ki.

Shin Se Kyung will take on the role of Tan Ya (previously played by Kim Ji Won). Tan Ya was born to the Wahan tribe and strived to fulfill her destiny as the next Great Spiritual Mother. Later, she was enslaved by Ta Gon and brought to Arthdal.

Kim Ok Bin captivates as the cunning politician Tae Al Ha, who will stop at nothing to achieve her ambitions. She is also skilled in martial arts and holds the notion that only the strong and those with power survive.
