안녕~ ^^ Buckle up and let's check out what's been going on in South Korea in the month of June and did we have any new precious celebrity babies or are there too many scandals going on to enjoy the sweet moments.

  • Former T-ARA's member Han A Reum and her businessman husband welcomed their first child, a baby boy. ~ Instagram, Soompi
  • Seo Hyo Rim and her husband, Jung Myung Ho, son of Kim Soo Mi and CEO of Napalkkot F&B, welcomed their first child, a baby girl. ~ Naver
  • Former 9MUSES member Moon Hyun Ah and her non-celebrity husband welcomed their first child, a baby girl, Bandi. ~ Soompi, Instagram


  • Ryu Seung Beom (39) announced through his agency that he would tie the knot with his non-celebrity Slovakian girlfriend of three years, after the birth of their first child, which is expected to be soon. The marriage has been pushed back to after the birth of their child, due do the COVID-19 pandemic. ~ Xportsnews
  • TVXQ's Chang Min (32) announced through a handwritten letter and confirmed by his agency that he will tie the knot with his non-celebrity girlfriend on September 5th, 2020. ~ Naver, Soompi


  • Honey Lee (37) and g .o.d's Yoon Kye Sang (41) confirmed through their agency that they've broken up after dating for seven years. ~ Naver
  • 2PM's Ok Taec Yeon (31) confirmed through his agency that he's in a relationship with a non-celebrity. ~ Naver

  • TST's member Yo Han passed away at the age of 28 on June 16th, 2020. The cause of death still remains unknown. ~ Naver


  • Jay Park's agency H1GHR Music and its artists have collectively donated $21,000 to various organizations for the Black Lives Matter movement. ~ Twitter
  • BTS and their agency Big Hit Entertainment donated $1,000,000 to the Black Lives Matter movement. ~ Variety
  • BTS's fandom, Army, also matched their group's donation and donated $1,000,000 to the Black Lives Matter movement. ~ Soompi

  • Rain will donate all of his earnings from his Fall-Winter modelling job with Levi's Strauss Korea to women in need, and his donation will be used to provide sanitary napkins for disadvantaged women who are currently facing hardships due to COVID-19. ~ Naver
  • BTS and their agency Big Hit Entertainment donated $1,000,000 to Crew Nation, for concert crew members that were affected by the COVID-19 pandemic due to postponements and concert cancellations. ~ Variety



  • Park Bo Gum confirmed through his agency that he is enlisting in the military on August 31st, 2020. ~ Naver, MDL
  • Woo Do Hwan confirmed through a handwritten letter posted on his Instagram that he is enlisting in the military on July 6th, 2020. ~ Instagram, MDL
  • VIXX's Ken confirmed through a handwritten letter on VIXX's fancafe that he is enlisting in the military on July 6th, 2020. ~ Naver, Soompi






  • BLACKPINK's Lisa had been swindled out of 1 billion won (~$816,000) by her former manager, who used the money for his gambling addiction. The manager has been since then fired, and in accordance with Lisa's wishes, some of the money has already been reimbursed, and the rest will be paid back through a repayment schedule. ~ Market News, Newsen
  • Former High School Rapper contestant No:el, received a suspended sentence of two years on probation with an additional 40 hours of courses on driving laws, after he was found guilty for driving under the influence which caused a collide with a motorcycle in the early hours on September 7th, 2019. The motorcyclist suffered light injuries, while No:el didn't, however, in order to avoid trouble, the rapper also tried to shift the blame to his friend and called him up to come and pretend that he was the one driving instead. Seeing that the victim and the rapper reached a settlement soon after and that No:el also came forward and turned himself on the same day of the accident, the court gave him a lighter sentence. ~ Naver
  • The court upheld its original ruling of two years and six months of prison that is suspended for three years of probation for Kang Ji Hwan at the appeal trial held on June 11th, 2020 for his sexual assault committed against two of his female staff members in summer of 2019. ~ Soompi, Naver
