Dear Readers,

Hello! I'm Anushka and I'm here with the second article of my series 'Life Lessons from Dramas.' Dramas have a special place in my heart, not just in the way of enjoyment but also as inspiration and motivation for me. I learned many things from dramas. Life Lessons from K-dramas is the first article of this series. But this time I'm sharing MDLer's favorite quotes / Life lessons from the dramas. So this article is solely based on MDLer's who shared their favorite quotes with me through posts on feeds and in forums.

This article will not only contain quotes though. It will also include the perspectives about this topic from MDLer's taken from my previous article's comments.

For me dramas are not only a way for you to see people going through similar issues and experiences. It is also about relating to it and feeling a connection and then, later, feeling a little bit less alone in the universe. Besides, it's also an escape from reality where you can live different lives, learn about other people's experiences and become more aware of how everyone feels and sees the world. I think dramas can portray all of this in a very beautiful and meaningful way. That was what made me fall for them.

Sometimes watching a drama is a form of escapism for me, especially when I feel overwhelmed with real life. However, there are times when a quote or a dialogue from a drama just happens to be exactly what I needed to hear. Sometimes it hurts, sometimes it makes me cry, but it's still important to me, that's why I love dramas.

I basically watch dramas for lessons more than anything else. I had anger issues before. I always disrespected others and was very immature. I had a very sharp tongue and always said things which I shouldn't and now I have changed a lot! I try to find reasons behind their actions and think twice before speaking. I learned that words from me can be engraved in someone's heart.
I now understand how to properly treat myself, my family and how to maintain relationships.

When you hear ''I want to be a pig'' you most probably start to doubt the other person's sanity and yet that person accepts being a ''pig'' just for pursuing freedom. And I think it is also the scene that resonates with me (he actually said that in a company meeting after watching some pigs escaping). - (I really wanted to share my perspective on this small quote from my fellow MDLer.)
