Upcoming drama "Chimera" is now confirmed to air in OCN next month.
It was announced on September 27th that the upcoming drama "Chimera" starring Park Hae Soo, Claudia Kim (Kim Soo Hyun), and Lee Hee Joon will premiere on OCN at 10:30 pm on October 30. It will be part of their Saturday-Sunday drama slot.
"Chimera" is a chase thriller that will revolve around homicide detective Cha Jae Hyun, profiler Yoo Jin, and surgeon Lee Joong Yub. These three will be in pursuit of the truth about 'Chimera,' a serial explosion and murder that recurred again after 35 years.
'Chimera' is depicted from the name of a monster in Greek mythology that has the head of a lion, the body of a goat, and the tail of a snake, and breathes fire through its mouth.
Other cast members of the drama include Cha Joo Young, Jung Young Ki, and Kong Hyun Ji.
"Chimera" is penned by writer Lee Jin Mae who is also the screenwriter for "Ex-Girlfriend Club," "Call of the Country," and "I am Your Teacher." Kim Do Hoon who created "The Moon Embracing The Sun" directed the drama. The drama is 100% pre-produced.
Park Hae Soo will play the role of Cha Jae Hyun, a perfectionist homicide detective. This drama will be his second series for the year. He recently starred in the hit Netflix original series "Squid Game" with Lee Jung Jae. The actor is also set to star in upcoming dramas "Suriname" and "Money Heist."
Kim Soo Hyun also known as Claudia Kim will play the role of Yoo Jin, a profiler from the FBI. She was adopted in the US when she was little. This drama will be Kim Soo Hyun's first drama in Korea after 5 years.
Lastly, Lee Hee Joon will play the character of a doctor named Lee Joong Yub. Just like Yoo Jin, he was also adopted and raised in a different country. He grew up in England and became a doctor. He will also lead the case together with Park Hae Soo and Kim Soo Hyun's character. He last starred in the award-winning drama "Mouse."
