CNBLUE's Lee Jung Shin confirmed to star in the new tvN drama "Shooting Star" directed by Lee Soo Hyun ("Kairos") and written by Choi Young Woo.
It was announced on October 21st that Lee Jung Shin will be joining the cast of the romantic comedy drama "Shooting Star." He will be playing the role of Do Soo Hyuk, an entertainment advisor.
"Shooting Star" will showcase the lives of the people working behind the scenes so that stars can shine. It will be about a variety of professional groups such as public relations teams, managers, reporters, and more.
The drama will be led by Lee Sung Kyung and Kim Young Dae. Lee Sung Kyung will play the role of Oh Han Byul, the head of the PR team of the entertainment agency. Kim Young Dae will play the role of Gong Tae Sung, the top star of the agency and the greatest enemy of Oh Han Byul.
Other cast members of the drama are Yoon Jong Hoon, Girls Day Park So Jin, NFLYING's Lee Seung Hyub, Kim Yoon Hye, and more.
"Shooting Star" will be available on tvN and OTT streaming platform iQIYI. The drama will premiere in the first half of 2022 and it will have 16 episodes.
Lee Jung Shin is currently busy with his group CNBLUE. They released their ninth mini-album “WANTED” and the title track “Love Cut" on October 20. He will also take part in various activities for the promotion of their new album.
The idol-actor last starred in the 2021 web drama "Summer Guys" with Kang Mi Na, Viini, Im Na Young, Lee Jung Sic, and Jo Duk Hyun. He was also part of the dramas "My Sassy Girl," "Cinderella and the Four Knights," "Click Your Heart," "Temptation," "Seo Yeong, My Daughter," and more.
