DIA's Jung Chae Yeon received the offer to star in the upcoming drama "The Golden Spoon."
According to media outlet TenAsia on January 11th, Jung Chae Yeon will be the female lead of the upcoming MBC drama "The Golden Spoon." She will be working with the reported main lead BTOB's Yook Sung Jae.
Jung Chae Yeon's agency hasn't responded to the casting reports yet.
"The Golden Spoon" will be based on a hit webtoon with the same name. It will depict the journey of a boy who got a magical spoon that allows him to exchange his fate and switch lives with his rich best friend. The drama will be penned by writers Kim Eun Hee and Yoon Eun Kyung ("Prime Minister and I" "My Fair Lady," and "Winter Sonata"). Director Song Hyun Wook ("The King's Affection" and "Undercover") will be in charge of the production.
The upcoming drama "The Golden Spoon" will reportedly air in 2022.
Jung Chae Yeon was last seen in the hit 2021 drama "The King's Affection" with Park Eun Bin, SF9's Rowoon, Nam Yoon Su, VICTON's Choi Byung Chan, and Bae Yoon Kyung. In this drama, Jung Chae Yeon received several praises for her acting performance.
She was also part of several dramas such as "My First First Love," "Reunited Worlds," "Drinking Solo," and more.
Jung Chae Yeon is currently more active as an actress than an idol. She made her debut through the group DIA. She was also part of the project group I.O.I from "Produce 101."
In 2015, she challenged herself and made her acting debut in the web drama "Sweet Temptation" with T-Ara's
Park So Yeon, and Ham Eun Jung, Lee Joong Moon, and Kim Jae Wook. Since then, she's been active in her acting career.
