"Family Plan", Starring Bae Doo Na, Ryu Seung Beom, Lomon, Gears Up for Release

Family Plan, starring Bae Doo Na, Ryu Seung Beom, Lomon, Baek Yoon Shik, and Lee Soo Hyun, dropped pics from the script reading. 

The Coupang Play series Family Plan tells the story of a group of people with special abilities who disguise themselves as a family to survive and employ special techniques to defeat the vicious criminals who threaten them.

Screenwriter Kim Jung Min, directors Kim Gok and Kim Sun, and lead actors Bae Doo Na, Ryu Seung Bum, Baek Yoon Shik, Lomon, and Lee Soo Hyun gathered for the script reading. 

Bae Doo Na (The Silent Sea, Kingdom, Stranger, Broker, Next Sohee) plays the role of Han Young Soo, a mother who possesses special abilities. The actress said, "I've waited for a very long time because the script was so interesting. I was thrilled and nervous even before reading the script because actors I admire and respect so much were joining." 

Baek Cheol Hee, a timid father who hides his abilities but loves his wife dearly, will be played by Ryu Seung Beom (Moving). The actor said, "I am determined to do my best to make this work successful." 

Baek Yoon Shik (Noryang: Deadly Sea, Vagabond) plays the role of Baek Kang Seong, a grumpy grandfather who cares deeply for his family. The veteran actor said, "I felt a lot through the [script] reading. I ask for your interest." 

Lomon (Revenge of Others, All of Us Are Dead) plays the role of a warm and gentle son, Baek Ji Hoon. He said, "It was an honor just to be in the same room with such talented seniors." 

Rookie actress Lee Soo Hyun plays the prickly and sensitive daughter, Baek Ji Woo. She said, "I was half excited and half worried. It was an honor to be able to read with such talented seniors."

Family Plan commenced filming at the end of December 2023 and is scheduled for release on Coupang Play sometime in 2024.
