Actress Go Ah Ra has received the offer to star alongside Kim Seon Ho in the upcoming movie "Sad Tropical"
According to several media reports on October 20th, Go Ah Ra was chosen as the female lead for the upcoming movie "Sad Tropical." Kim Seon Ho first received the offer to lead the movie but due to his private issues, his participation is still uncertain. The production team will have a meeting first before making a decision regarding Kim Seon Ho's casting.
Reports also stated that Go Ah Ra is currently reviewing the offer and nothing has been decided yet.
"Sad Tropical" will tell the story of a man who returns to Korea to look for his Korean father who abandoned him and his Filipina mother. The movie will be directed by Park Hoon Jung ("The New World," "The Witch: Part 1. The Subversion," and "Night in Paradise.")
Go Ah Ra's character for the film hasn't been revealed yet.
The upcoming movie "Sad Tropical" is set to film this November.
If Go Ah Ra confirms her casting, this will be her comeback to the big screen since 2016. She last starred in the film "Phantom Detective" along with Lee Je Hoon, Kim Ha Na, Kim Sung Kyun, and more. The actress also participated in several other movies such as "The Magician," "Papa," "Pacemaker," and more.
Go Ah Ra was last seen in the 2020 drama "Do Do Sol Sol La La Sol" with Lee Jae Wook and Kim Joo Heon. She was also part of the dramas "Haechi," "Miss Hammurabi," "Black," "Hwarang," "You're All Surrounded," "Reply 1994," and more.
She didn't have any projects this year so if Go Ah Ra accepts the casting offer, this will be her first work for 2021.
