The Korean movie Hijacking has been confirmed to release on June 21.
On May 10, the distributor Kidari Studio revealed the K-movie's release date along with its first poster and trailer.
Hijacking tells the story of people fighting for their lives in an extreme situation when a passenger plane is hijacked in the airspace of Korea in 1971.
Actor Ha Jung Woo plays the role of Tae In, the plane's co-pilot. Veteran actor Sung Dong Il comes as Gyu Sik, the plane's captain. Yeo Jin Goo plays Yong Dae, a passenger on the plane. Chae Soo Bin portrays flight attendant Ok Soon.
The poster depicts Tae In (Ha Jung Woo) and Gyu Sik (Sung Dong Il) hanging upside down in an inverted airplane.
Tae In's tense expression as he sits in the cockpit, not letting go of the plane's control for a safe landing, despite the airplane being hijacked, conveys the gravity of the situation.
Yong Dae (Yeo Jin Goo) desperately rushing towards the cockpit amidst the chaos amplifies curiosity about why he's caught up in such a situation.
Furthermore, Gyu Sik (Sung Dong Il), sitting bleeding beside Tae In and watching Yong Dae with anxiousness, adds to the tension of the extreme situation where there is nowhere to escape.
The text reads, "In the winter of 1971, this passenger plane was hijacked."
