Yeo Jin Goo takes on his first villain role in Hijacking.
Hijacking tells the story of people fighting for their lives in an extreme situation when a passenger plane is hijacked in the airspace of Korea in 1971.
In the K-movie, actor Yeo Jin Goo plays the role of the hijacker Yong Dae. This will be the first time the Hotel del Luna actor plays a villain since his debut.
Yong Dae hails from Sokcho, Gangwon Province. He lives alone with his mother and has endured severe discrimination and contempt due to his elder brother, who became an officer in the Korean People's Army (of North Korea) during the Korean War.
After being wrongfully accused and serving time in prison, he boards a passenger plane with the intention of meeting his brother in the North.
Actor Yeo Jin Goo shares, "It was difficult to balance the depth between the villainous and sympathetic aspects of the character. I had many discussions with the director to portray the character in a more three-dimensional way."
Hijacking will be released on June 21.
