Im Ji Yeon received an offer to star in the upcoming tvN drama "The Glory"
On November 15th media outlets reported that Im Ji Yeon will be added to the cast of the upcoming tvN drama "The Glory." Song Hye Kyo is confirmed to lead the drama while Lee Do Hyun is currently in talks for it.
Im Ji Yeon's agency Artist Company responded to the reports through the media outlet Star News and shared that the actress is currently considering the proposal to appear in "The Glory."
"The Glory" will be the collaboration drama of Kim Eun Sook ("Descendants of the Sun") and director Ahn Gil Ho ("Stranger".) It will tell the story of Moon Dong Eun who had to give up her dream of becoming an architect as a child because she had to drop out of school due to brutal school violence. After several years, she became the homeroom teacher of the perpetrator's child. The drama will unveil the sad and evil story of desperate revenge.
The possible character of Im Ji Yeon is not yet revealed. Meanwhile, Song Hye Kyo will play the role of Moon Dong Eun and Lee Do Hyun received the offer to star as Joo Yeo Jung who's from a rich family and will do anything to help Moon Dong Eun in her revenge.
"The Glory" will consist of 8 episodes and the whole drama will be 100% pre-produced. It will premiere sometime in 2022.
Im Ji Yeon last starred in the 2019 drama "Welcome 2 Life" with Rain and Kwak Shi Yang. In 2022, she is set to lead several dramas such as "Money Heist," "Mojito" and "The Mansion." If Im Ji Yeon confirms her casting for "The Glory," this will be her 4th drama for next year. Aside from dramas, Im Ji Yeon will also star in the upcoming movie titled "Spiritwalker" with Yoon Kye Sang, Park Yong Woo, and Yoo Seung Mok.
