JTBC's upcoming weekend drama King the Land released new stills of Im Yoon Ah from the K-drama.
Im Yoon Ah takes on the role of Cheon Sa Rang, a friendly staff member at King Hotel, who must always wear a smile even when she doesn't want to because of her profession. Im Yoon Ah's vibrant energy perfectly befits the character of Smile Queen Cheon Sa Rang.
In regard to choosing King the Land, Im Yoon Ah said, "I have always enjoyed romantic comedies, and since the previous work was in the noir genre, I thought it would be great to do a brighter and more delightful project. I also chose it because I remember many people like it when I play a character with an energetic and bright personality. The setting of a hotel VVIP lounge also attracted me with its unique charm".
About her character, Im Yoon Ah commented, "For Sa Rang, King Hotel is a place imbued with childhood memories. While portraying the character, I constantly tried to be mindful of Sa Rang's genuine emotions and the significance she attaches to King Hotel". She further added, "Although there are many other aspects to her character, Sa Rang excels at her job, possesses a strong sense of responsibility and purpose, and I made efforts to make those qualities shine through".
Lastly, she mentioned the captivating aspects of King the Land, stating, "From comedic elements to heartwarming romance, King the Land offers a lot of entertainment. Particularly, viewers will be deeply impressed by Sa Rang's journey in search of genuine laughter and the endearing transformation of Gu Won after meeting Sa Rang. Moreover, as there were numerous on-location shoots, the visual aesthetics of the drama are also worth looking forward to".
King the Land will premiere on June 17 on Netflix.
