Jang Dong Yoon is in talks to join the upcoming Korean version of The Mantis.
On June 27, media outlet Sports Chosun shared that Jang Dong Yoon has been picked to join the cast of the upcoming Korean remake of The Mantis. He will reportedly play the role of a police detective.
Aside from Jang Dong Yoon, top actress Go Hyun Jung also received the offer to star in the series. Early this year, it was also offered to Ji Chang Wook but the actor decided not to participate in the K-drama.
Jang Dong Yoon will also reportedly lead the upcoming K-drama The Fairy and the Bald Idol. If the actor decides to join The Mantis, this will be his second upcoming project.
Last year, Jang Dong Yoon was very active in the K-drama scene. He starred in the series Oasis, Daily Dose of Sunshine, My Man Is Cupid, and Like Flowers in Sand.
Jang Dong Yoon is known for being part of the works The King of the Desert, Search, The Tale of Nokdu, Mr. Sunshine, School 2017, Devils, Project Wolf Hunting, and more.

The Mantis will revolve around a person who begins murdering people in the style of a serial killer who has already been imprisoned for many years. The serial killer then asked his son who became a police officer to track down the new killer. The story will be depicted from the French series The Mantis (La Mante) aired in 2017.
Jang Dong Yoon got the offer to portray the role of Cha Soo Yeol. He is the son of Go Hyun Jung's character Jeong Yi Sin. He is the son of the serial killer who became a police detective. He will work with her mother to find out about the murder case.
