On July 21, Netflix released interesting stills from D.P. Season 2, providing a glimpse into the relationship dynamics of Jun Ho (Jung Hae In) and Ho Yul (Koo Kyo Hwan).
Season 2 of the series continues to delve into the gripping story of Ahn Joon Ho (Jung Hae In) and Han Ho Yul (Koo Kyo Hwan), members of the military defector arrest team, as they confront the unchanging realities and injustices in the military.
The stills beautifully capture the resumption of the duo's unfinished story. Jun Ho and Ho Yul, the top-performing pair with the highest arrest rate in the unit, pick up the trail of deserters once again after the Private Seok Bong Cho incident. They embark on a quest, bearing disguises and conducting investigations, all with the goal of safely bringing the deserters back while encountering numerous obstacles.
One emotional moment depicted in the stills shows Jun Ho holding onto a hesitant Ho Yul, and in another pic both covered in scars and tears filling their eyes, a sign viewers should probably sit down to watch the show with tissues in hand.
Director Han Jun Hee, who received immense praise for the camaraderie portrayed by the duo in Season 1, emphasized the importance of exploring Jun Ho and Ho Yul's growth as they interact with different people.
Jung Hae In explained the dynamic between the two, stating, "Ho Yul is someone Jun Ho looks up to, and he has a side that Jun Ho lacks". Koo Kyo Hwan revealed, "After watching the entire series, D.P. appears to be a story about the people An Jun Ho encounters".
D.P. Season 2 is set to premiere on July 28th, only on Netflix.
