On August 3rd, an interview with Jung Hae In, the lead actor of the Netflix original series D.P. Season 2, took place at a café in Yeoksam Dong, Gangnam Gu, Seoul.
Earlier, in August 2021, D.P. Season 1 captivated both audiences and critics, successfully blending artistry and commercial appeal while addressing pressing real-world issues, creating significant social ripples. Some viewers even reported experiencing group PTSD (Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder) symptoms after watching the series, leading to intense debates. The defense ministry had to issue clarifications stating that the drama was different from reality.
Jung Hae In, the face of D.P., delivered a remarkable performance as Ahn Joon Ho, a deserter pursuiter. He skillfully collaborated with Han Ho Yul (Koo Kyo Hwan), arresting deserters. In Season 2, he returned as a more mature and developed character. Jung Hae In's portrayal of a person striving to bring a change in the military impressed audiences.
During the interview, one of the questions posed to Jung Hae In was if he would return for Season 3. The actor responded, "Of course, I will participate if there is a Season 3. Whether I can participate depends on the character's role and my ability to portray it effectively. If there is Season 3, I will naturally be enthusiastic about it". He expressed doubt about Ho Yul's inclusion if Season 3 is made because he is discharged. He stated, "That's an aspect that falls into the hands of the writer and director. They have to handle it skillfully in the script. I'm curious about how it will be handled. I would love to interview the writer about it and inquire more".
D.P. Season 2 was released worldwide, with all six episodes being made available on July 28th, on Netflix.
