Jung Yoo Mi will reportedly join hands with Jeon Jong Seo and Song Jae Rim in the upcoming historical K-drama The Queen 'Woo'.
Media outlets shared on June 30th that Jung Yoo Mi has been picked to be added to the main leads of the upcoming K-drama The Queen 'Woo'.
Jung Yoo Mi's side responded to the casting reports and stated that the actress is positively considering her appearance in the upcoming historical K-drama.
If Jung Yoo Mi officially confirms her casting, this will be her return to the K-drama scene after four years. She last starred in the 2019 K-drama Partners for Justice Season 2.
This year, the actress made a special appearance in the series Strangers Again.
This will also be Jung Yoo Mi's comeback to historical K-dramas after eight years. She last appeared in a historical genre in 2015 through the K-drama Six Flying Dragons.
Jung Yoo Mi is known for being part of the K-dramas Priest, Partners for Justice, Bravo My Life, The Master of Revenge, Rooftop Prince, and more.
The Queen 'Woo' will revolve around Lady Woo, the first ever woman in history to become a queen twice. She will be on the hunt for her new King within 24 hours after her previous husband, the King died. The K-drama is set in the Goryeo era.
The upcoming K-drama will be the collaboration work of director Jung Se Gyo (Oh! My Gran) and writer Lee Byung Hak (The Royal Tailor).
Jeon Jong Seo will give life to the role of Lady Woo. Meanwhile, details on Jung Yoo Mi's character are not yet revealed.
The Queen 'Woo' will premiere in 2024 and it will exclusively be available on TVING.
