Frankly Speaking has unveiled Kang Han Na's first stills.
Frankly Speaking tells the story of Song Ki Baek (Go Kyung Pyo), an announcer, who is unexpectedly afflicted with a disease that doesn't let him control the words coming from his mouth. Intrigued by Song's manner of speech, the passionate TV variety show writer On Woo Joo (Kang Han Na) invites him to her variety show.
Kang Han Na transforms into On Woo Joo, a hard-working variety show writer whose living depends on her show's viewer ratings. Woo Joo has held onto her job for a whopping 12 years, surviving in the chaotic world of broadcasting while handling program planning, casting, on-site management, editing, and even managing the mental health of the cast.
Despite the demanding nature of her profession, she maintains an excessively positive attitude and passion, and often says, "I'm fine, I just need to cheer up and work hard."
In the stills, Woo Joo's tireless efforts to make a living are vividly captured. From recruiting cast members with a bright smile to pondering ideas and exploring the filming site, her passion for work is evident throughout.
The production team of Frankly Speaking said, "Woo Joo is a character who loves her profession more than anything else and has a sentimental rather than calculating personality."
Frankly Speaking will premiere on May 1. There is currently no news about the K-drama's global OTT streaming service.
