Kim Hye Yoon is in talks to lead a new drama this year!

On April 13th, media outlet OSEN shared that Kim Hye Yoon recently received the offer to star in the upcoming webtoon-based drama titled "The Year We Turned 29."

Kim Hye Yoon's agency Sidus HQ responded to the circulating reports, revealing that Kim Hye Yoon did receive the casting offer and is currently reviewing the script. 

"The Year We Turned 29"will base its story on the popular Naver webtoon with the same name. The series will narrate the stories of three 29-year-old best friends and how they will face different life crises such as love, work, exams, and more before they reach the age of 30.

The original webtoon was released in March 2019 and it got decent reviews right after its launch. The rights to produce the drama were sold in 2020.  In February, Naver revealed that "The Year We Turned 29" will be part of their OTT content.

Webtoon-based dramas are currently receiving favorable reviews nowadays such as "All Of Us Are Dead," "A Business Proposal," and more. Expectations are high on whether this new drama will also give good results just like the rest.

There are no details yet on the other possible main leads and the broadcast date of "The Year We Turned 29."

If Kim Hye Yoon confirms her casting, this will be her follow-up drama after JTBC's "Snowdrop." Her movie "The Girl on a Bulldozer" with Super Junior's Ye Sung, Noh Susanna, Park Hyuk Kwon, and Oh Man Seok, recently premiered this month. 

The actress is also set to star in the upcoming film "Similar" with Yeo Jin Goo, Jo Yi Hyun, and Na In Woo. 

Kim Hye Yoon is known for being part of the dramas "Secret Royal Inspector & Joy," "Extraordinary You," "SKY Castle," and more.
