Kim Shin Rok confirmed her first K-drama project for 2025.
On July 1, it was officially confirmed that Kim Shin Rok is joining the cast of the upcoming MBC action comedy K-drama Undercover High School.
Kim Shin Rok will join the confirmed cast Seo Kang Joon, Jin Ki Joo, and Kim Min Ju.
This will be the first K-drama of Kim Shin Rok for next year. In 2024, the actress appeared in the hit tvN series Queen of Tears to support Reborn Rich co-star Kim Do Hyun.
She is expected to star in the upcoming Netflix original K-drama Hellbound Season 2. She will work alongside Kim Hyun Joo, Kim Sung Cheol, Hong Eui Joon, Yang Ik Jun, and Lee Re.
Aside from K-dramas, Kim Shin Rok is also joining the upcoming movie Uprising with Park Jeong Min, Kang Dong Won, Cha Seung Won, Jin Seon Kyu, and Jung Sung Il.
Kim Shin Rok is known for being part of the K-dramas Sweet Home Season 2, The Kidnapping Day, Moving, Shadow Detective Season 2, Reborn Rich, One Ordinary Day, Hellbound, Beyond Evil, and more.
Undercover High School will revolve around the life of Jung Hae Sung who hid his identity as a National Intelligence Service agent and goes undercover as a high school student.
Director Choi Jung In (Knight Flower and On the Verge of Insanity) and writer Im Young Bin (Bad Prosecutor and Sketch) will work together to create the upcoming K-drama.
Kim Shin Rok will portray the role of Seo Myeong Joo. She is the chairman of the board of directors of the Byeongmun Foundation and the prestigious Byeongmun High School. She will be the worst enemy of Seo Kang Joon's character Jung Hae Sung who is disguised as a high school student.
Undercover High School will premiere in the first half of 2025 and it will be part of MBC's Friday and Saturday K-drama timeslot.
