A fresh teaser poster from MBC's upcoming historical drama Flowers that Bloom at Night, featuring Lee Ha Nee, has been unveiled.
Flowers that Bloom at Night is a historical drama that follows the story of Yeo Hwa, a widow leading a double life, and Park Su Ho (Lee Jong Won), a hard-working senior officer known for his intelligence and martial arts skills.
The teaser poster shows Yeo Hwa's double life. Sitting on a porch wearing a simple attire, Yeo Hwa sports a wide cheerful smile, exuding confidence and hinting she is not an ordinary widow.
Contrastingly, the other half of the poster shows Yeo Hwa wearing a warrior's attire, covering her face with a mask and carrying a sword while sitting leisurely on the roof in the dark night. This fuels curiosity about her adventurous double life and amplifies the anticipation for this exceptional female character.
Despite being a widow who hasn't even been able to hold the first ancestral rite, Yeo Hwa goes up to the shrine during the day to mourn. But only after sunset, her true self begins to unravel. She goes outside her house to help people and accidentally gets entangled with Inspector Park Su Ho.
The production team of Flowers that Bloom at Night stated, "Yeo Hwa, a widow who does not even dare to look at the world outside her wide-open door during the day, cannot contain her overflowing sense of justice and jumps over her [house's] wall at night. Please look forward to how her unanticipated, thrilling double life unfolds."
Flowers that Bloom at Night is scheduled to premiere on January 12, taking over the time slot of The Story of Park's Marriage Contract.
