Lee Je Hoon and Koo Kyo Hwan will be the main leads for the upcoming film "Escape."
On December 28th, it was officially announced that Lee Je Hoon and Koo Kyo Hwan will be working with director Lee Jong Pil ("Samjin Company English Class" and "The Sound of a Flower") in the upcoming movie "Escape."
"Escape" is a film about a North Korean soldier who dreams of a new life on the other side of the fence. As he defects and risks his life to escape, he will meet a security officer that is tasked to stop him. The film will be produced by The Lamp who also produced works such as "Samjin Company English Class," "Taxi Driver," "Malmoe: The Secret Mission," "Love, Lies," and "Commitment."
Actor Lee Je Hoon said in the 42nd Blue Dragon Film Awards that he wants to work with Koo Kyo Hwan and this wish has been granted and they will be starring together in an action film. Many are already curious about how the two will show their chemistry in the movie.
Lee Je Hoon will play the role of Lim Kyu Nam, a North Korean Soldier who's aiming to have a new life in the South. Koo Kyo Hwan will play the character named Ri Hyeon Sang. He's an officer at the North's security department, an intelligence agency that prevents defectors from escaping.
"Escape" will reportedly begin filming in the first half of 2022 after they finalized casting the major roles.

Meanwhile, this movie will be the second upcoming film of actor Koo Kyo Hwan. He will also be part of the film "Kill Bok Soon." He is also set to star in the 2022 drama "Monstrous." He will also return to the second season of "D.P. Season 2."
