As reported by his agency, Company On, actor Lee Je Hoon has made a donation to The Beautiful Foundation to extend a helping hand to the vulnerable.
These funds will be allocated to aid the vulnerable and endorse public service projects through the diverse support programs of The Beautiful Foundation.
Since 2017, Lee Je Hoon has been a regular donor to The Beautiful Foundation and has also been participating in public service campaigns.
The actor commented, "Society's problems are becoming increasingly difficult to solve, but I decided to donate with the belief that if people with warm hearts start sharing, even in small ways, a change can happen".
Lee Je Hoon has also been in the headlines due to his health deterioration. According to sources, the Taxi Driver actor complained of severe abdominal pain on the night of October 1 and was hospitalized after being diagnosed with ischemic colitis.
His agency released a statement, saying, "Lee Je Hoon went to the hospital on the night of October 1 due to severe abdominal pain, and he was diagnosed with ischemic colitis. He received emergency surgery early on October 2".
As a result, the actor did not participate in the opening ceremony of the 28th Busan International Film Festival and the Buil Film Awards ceremony, which he was supposed to co-host with actresses Park Eun Bin and Esom, respectively. He also took a break from filming his upcoming K-drama Chief Inspector 1963.
Lee Je Hoon's surgery was successful, and he was discharged from the hospital last week. The actor is also planning to resume work soon. His agency issued a statement: "His health has improved, and he plans to resume filming. He will return to work as soon as possible".
Lee Je Hoon will next be seen in the upcoming MBC drama Chief Inspector 1963, scheduled to air in 2024.
