Taxi Driver Season 3 is in discussion to premiere next year!
On October 8, media outlets reported that Lee Je Hoon, Pyo Ye Jin, and Kim Eui Sung will return to the new season of Taxi Driver. According to reports, the third season will begin filming this year to premiere in 2025.
With this, main lead Lee Je Hoon's agency responded to the reports. According to COMPANY ON, "Lee Je Hoon is confirmed to return to the SBS K-drama Taxi Driver Season 3." They also clarified that no other details has been decided other than the casting of Lee Je Hoon.
Meanwhile, other actors' representatives haven't responded to the casting reports.
Taxi Driver showcases the journey of the mysterious taxi company Rainbow Taxi who gets revenge on behalf of the victims. The story is adapted from the webtoon of the same name by Carlos and Keukeu Jae Jin.
The first two seasons were led by Lee Je Hoon, Pyo Ye Jin, Kim Eui Sung, Jang Hyuk Jin, and Bae Yoo Ram. Many are already curious if the original cast will return to the new season and which actors will be added to the series.
The first season received a lot of love and garnered the highest viewership of 16 percent. Due to its popularity, the second season was made and added actor Shin Jae Ha to the cast. It premiered in February last year. The second season surpassed the ratings of the first one and achieved the highest ratings of 21 percent.
The Taxi Driver K-drama is well loved and after Taxi Driver Season 2 concluded, many are already requesting for another season.
This will be the third upcoming K-drama of Lee Je Hoon. He will also star in Signal Season 2 as well as the upcoming JTBC K-drama The Art of Negotiation.
On the other hand, if Pyo Ye Jin confirms her casting, this will be her first confirmed K-drama project for 2025. She was last seen in the rom-com K-drama Dreaming of a Freaking Fairytale.
Just like Lee Je Hoon, this will possibly be Kim Eui Sung's third upcoming K-drama for 2025. The actor will also star in the upcoming series Low Life and Knock Off.
