UKISS Lee Jun Young and Roh Jeong Eui will be joining Ma Dong Seok in "The Wilderness."
On January 26th, it has been announced that Lee Jun Young and Roh Jeong Eui will be joining the upcoming film "The Wilderness." Ma Dong Seok confirmed his appearance in the upcoming film that was previously called "Concrete Utopia 2."
"The Wilderness" will showcase the story of a world that is devastated by an earthquake. The film will reveal what happens when people flock to the only remaining apartment in Seoul after the massive earthquake. The movie will be based on the second part of the webtoon "Happy Boy" by Kim Soong Nyoong. The other part of the webtoon will be the film "Concrete Utopia" that will be led by Lee Byung Hun, Park Seo Joon, Park Bo Young, and more.
The upcoming film will be helmed by martial arts director Huh Myung Haeng who was in charge of the martial arts of the movie "The Good, The Bad, The Weird," and the dramas "Vincenzo" and "D.P." This will be his first-ever directorial film. "The Wilderness" will be produced by Climax Studios and Lotte Entertainment.
There are no details yet about the characters that Ma Dong Seok, Lee Jung Young, and Roh Jeong Eui will portray.
"The Wilderness" will begin filming in the first half of 2022. It was also reported that the movie will be released both in theater and an OTT platform but nothing has been confirmed yet.
This movie will be added to the list of upcoming movies of Lee Jun Young. He will first make his debut in movies through "Love and Leashes" with Girls Generation's Seo Hyun. Then he will also appear in "Brave Citizen," "More Painful Than Sadness," and the confirmed movie "The Wilderness." Aside from movies, the actor will also star in the upcoming drama "Na Rae, Kicking Out."
Roh Jeong Eui was part of the recently wrapped up drama "Our Beloved Summer" with Choi Woo Shik and Kim Da Mi. Aside from "The Wilderness," the actress is set to star in the upcoming movie "I Want to Know Your Parents." She is also part of the drama "Dear.M" that was postponed to air last year.
