MBC's upcoming Friday-Saturday drama The Story of Park's Marriage Contract unveiled Lee Se Young's stills.
The Story of Park's Marriage Contract is about Park Yeon Woo (Lee Se Young) — a woman from the Joseon era — and Kang Tae Ha (Bae In Hyuk) — a man with a cold demeanor from the 21st century — entering a contract marriage.
The new stills show Lee Se Young flaunting her charms as she takes on the role of Park Yeon Woo.
Park Yeon Woo — the only precious daughter of a prestigious family — is an atypical character with a talent for making and selling clothes and embroidered goods, all while remaining unmarried at a mature age. She is a mischievous, self-confident, and self-dependent woman.
Previously, she was seen wearing purple clothes when disguised as the "butterfly teacher." But in these new stills, she is seen wearing a vibrant traditional hanbok and holding a book called Naehun (a book compiled for the upbringing of women).
She appears surprised and confused as she points toward something, leaving viewers eager to unravel the mystery behind her astonishment.
Lee Se Young's portrayal of the quirky Park Yeon Woo is nothing short of adorable and dynamic. Her charisma as the "butterfly teacher" takes a back seat as she exudes grace and elegance in the new stills, befitting the daughter of the prestigious Park family.
The production team stated, "Lee Se Young perfectly embodies the character of Park Yeon Woo, a woman with a lot of curiosity and a clear sense of what she wants [especially] in [a time like] Joseon era when it was difficult for women to pursue their dreams." They asked viewers to tune in to see how the Joseon lady — after time-traveling to the 21st century — will adapt to the modern world.
The Story of Park's Marriage Contract will premiere on November 24.
