Chae Seo Eun is confirmed to join the cast lineup of the upcoming K-drama High Cookie.
It was officially confirmed on September 21 that Chae Seo Eun will be added to the official cast of the thriller mystery K-drama High Cookie. Chae Seo Eun's agency The Way Company also confirmed the reports.
This will be the first K-drama of Chae Seo Eun for the year. She was last seen in the 2022 K-drama Forecasting Love and Weather with Park Min Young, Song Kang, Yoon Park, Girls Day's Yura, Kim Mi Kyung, and Jung Woon Sun.
Chae Seo Eun made her acting debut in 2020. She has starred in several K-dramas such as Hospital Playlist and Mr. Queen. In Mr. Queen, she was praised for her good acting and chemistry with the main lead Shin Hye Sun.
In 2021, Chae Seo Eun also made her debut on the big screen through the film Good Deal. She worked alongside Kwon Il, Jun Suk Ho, Tae In Ho, Jo Sung Ha, Lee Won Jong, and Kim Min Yeop.
Chae Seo Eun will work alongside High Cookie's main leads Nam Ji Hyun, Choi Hyun Wook, Kim Mu Yeol, Jung Da Bin, and Seo Bum June.
High Cookie is the latest work of director Song Min Yeop (Youth of May, Doctor Prisoner, and School 2017) and writer Kang Han.
The upcoming K-drama will tell the mysterious happenings in an elite high school. It will showcase the struggles of people who want to survive the quicksand caused by a dangerous and harmful cookie that makes the wishers' plea come true with just one bite.
Chae Seo Eun will play the role of Park Hee Jin. She is born with everything. From good looks, grades, wealth, and even a harmonious family. The only thing she can't get is her first love Song Jin Woo, played by Seo Bum June. This will be her struggle as she cannot understand the reason why.
The actress shared her side in being part of the K-drama, "It is a project that I've always wanted to do with the perfect combination of the director, writer, and even the co-actors. I hope that viewers will watch the series until the end and will have high expectations with it."
High Cookie will premiere on KBS 2TV on October 23.
