Nam Yoon Su received the offer to star alongside Kim Se Jeong in the upcoming SBS drama "Today's Webtoon."
On February 8th several media outlets reported that Nam Yoon Su will land his first-ever leading role in the upcoming drama "Today's Webtoon" written by Jo Hyun Joo.
Nam Yoon Su's agency Garten responded to the reports stating that the actor did receive the main lead role for the upcoming SBS drama and he is positively considering it. They also stated that it is one of the works proposed to the actor and he is still reviewing it.
"Today's Webtoon" will be the Korean remake of the Japanese series "Juhan Shuttai!" (Sleepeeer Hit!). The drama will tell the story of a former judo player who had to retire and change jobs. She landed a job in the webtoon editing department. The drama will showcase the story of her journey to her new venture. The Japanese version aired on TBS in 2016.
Kim Se Jeong will play the role of On Ma Eum, the former member of the national judo team and now an employee at a webtoon company.
The male lead role was first offered to actor Na In Woo but because of schedule conflicts, he had to decline the offer.
"Today's Webtoon" will reportedly air on SBS in 2022.
Nam Yoon Su made his acting debut in 2018. Since then, he has been active in appearing in several dramas. He was part of the dramas "Beyond Evil," "Birthcare Center," "Birthcare Center," "Not a Robot," and more.
If Nam Yoon Su accepts the offer to star in "Today's Webtoon," this will be his first time to be the main lead on a drama in the main broadcasting station.
Nam Yoon Su was last seen in the drama "The King's Affection." He will also join the upcoming film "Soul Mate."
