The upcoming Netflix original drama "Mask Girl" will be led by Go Hyun Jung, Ahn Jae Hong, and Yeom Hye Ran.
On February 3rd it was officially confirmed that "Mask Girl" will have Go Hyun Jung, Ahn Jae Hong, and Yeom Hye Ran as its main leads and it will exclusively be available on Netflix.
"Mask Girl" will be helmed by director Kim Yong Hoon ("Beasts Clawing at Straws" and "Yoon Hee.") The drama will be based on a webtoon of the same name. The upcoming drama will be produced by Bon Factory ("True Beauty," "What's Wrong With Secretary Kim," "Master's Sun," and more.)
The upcoming series "Mask Girl" will revolve around a woman who is an ordinary office worker with an appearance complex. She works as an internet broadcasting BJ who streams while covering her face with a mask. She will get caught up in an unintended incident while working.
"Mask Girl" will reportedly begin filming this year.
Go Hyun Jung will play the role of Kim Mo Mi. She has dreamt of becoming a celebrity ever since she was little but because of her inferiority complex about her appearance, she thought it was not fitting for her dream. Although she's not confident with her appearance, she finds joy in being an internet broadcaster BJ at night while wearing a mask.
Ahn Jae Hong will portray the role of Jo Oh Nam. He is a colleague of Kim Mo Mi in the company she works at. She is in love with Kim Mo Mi one-sidedly. The only joy of Oh Nam is watching internet broadcasting which is intertwined with BJ Momi and the unexpected incident.
Yeom Hye Ran will bring life to the role of Kim Kyung Ja, the mother of Jo Oh Nam. She is a divorcee and lives with her one and only son Jo Oh Nam. After Jo Oh Nam becomes missing, Kim Kyung Ja will do everything to find his son through his traces.
