2PM's Ok Taecyeon and Ha Seok Jin are confirmed to star in the OCN drama "Blind" while APINK's Jung Eun Ji is still in discussion to join.
On January 20th, media outlets reported that Ok Taecyeon, Ha Seok Jin, and Jung Eun Ji will be the main leads for the upcoming OCN drama "Blind" that will air this year.
Ok Taecyeon and Ha Seok Jin's agencies responded to the reports and confirmed their casting. Meanwhile, Jung Eun Ji is still reviewing the drama.
"Blind" will be directed by Shin Yong Hwi ("Voice 4: Judgment Hour," "Hide and Seek," "Tunnel," and "Bad Guys"). The script will be penned by Kwon Ki Kyung ("Andante"). It will tell the story of innocent victims and ordinary perpetrators who are blinded by uncomfortable truths. It will also revolve around detectives, judges, law school students, and jurors.
Ok Taecyeon will play the role of Ryu Soong Joon, a violent crime detective. He dreamed of punishing evil and saving the world. This role was offered before to actor Ong Seong Wu.
Other details of other casts are still not revealed.
"Blind" is scheduled to air in the second half of 2022.
"Blind" will be the first drama of Ok Taecyeon in 2022. He last starred in the historical drama "Secret Royal Inspector & Joy" with Kim Hye Yoon. He will also join the upcoming movie "Hansan" with Park Hae Il, Byun Yo Han, Kim Sung Gyu, Ahn Sung Ki, and Son Hyun Joo.
This drama will also be Ha Seok Jin's first drama for the year. In 2021, he was part of the drama "A DeadbEAT's Meal." He also made a special appearance in the series such as "The Red Sleeve" and "Monthly Magazine Home."
Meanwhile, if Jung Eun Ji accepts the offer to star in "Blind," this will be her second drama for the year. The idol actress will also appear in the second installment of "Work Later, Drink Now Season 2." She will also join the upcoming comeback of her k-pop group, APINK.
