TVING announced on the April 20 that its original series, A Very Lucky Day and The Queen 'Woo', are chosen to be released on Paramount+. It is part of the strategic partnership between TVING and Paramount+, following Yonder, which was released globally through Paramount + on April 11, and Bargain, which is scheduled to be released.
The K-dramas will be released in about 27 countries serviced by Paramount+ including the US, Canada, the UK, Australia, Brazil, Italy, Germany, Switzerland, Austria and France.
A Very Lucky Day casts the veteran actors Lee Sung Min, Yoo Yeon Seok, and Lee Jung Eun.
It is a thriller series in which an ordinary taxi driver Oh Taek (Lee Sung Min) picks up a customer (Yoo Yeon Seok) who offers a lot of money for long-distance trips. But later Oh Taek realizes that his customer is actually a serial killer.
Considering the gripping storyline and an all-star cast, expectations are high for the upcoming TVING original series. The K-drama is scheduled to be released in the second half of the year.
The Queen 'Woo' is TVING's first historical drama series, which tells the story of Queen Woo, who ascends the throne for the second time following the death of the king by going against the princes and the five tribes greedy for power.
Following her award-winning drama Bargain, actress Jeon Jong Seo will now be seen in the leading role of Queen Woo in the upcoming historical series, which is scheduled to be released in 2024.
