Netflix has unveiled character stills from Gyeongseong Creature featuring Park Seo Joon, Han So Hee, Kim Su Hyun, Kim Hae Sook, Jo Han Chul, and Wi Ha Joon.
Set in the dark times of the spring of 1945, Gyeongseong Creature tells the story of two young people confronting monsters born out of greed. The K-drama boasts a star-studded cast.
Household names such as Park Seo Joon and Han So Hee star as the main leads of Gyeongseong Creature.
Park Seo Joon plays Jang Tae Sang. Tae Sang is the owner of Gyeongseong's top pawn shop, Geum Ok Dang, and the number one source of information. He holds all the necessary information about power, money, goods, and even people.
The character stills of Jang Tae Sang portray him dressed in a suit, with neatly combed hair and a confident gaze. Park Seo Joon remarks that he created the character by looking up the fashion of that era.
Han So Hee takes on the role of Yoon Chae Ok, a woman who knows how to find dead persons. Chae Ok travels from Manchuria to Gyeongseong with her father in search of clues about her missing mother and makes a deal with Jang Tae Sang.
Han So Hee comments about her character Chae Ok, saying, "She looks strong because she is pursuing one goal, but she lives suppressing many emotions on the inside."
Kim Su Hyun plays Maeda, a Japanese noblewoman who commands the Gyeongseong area and is also the benefactor of Ongseong Hospital, a place where all secrets are hidden.
Kim Hae Sook takes on the role of Na Wol Daek, the butler of Tae Sang's pawn shop, Geum Ok Dang. Na Wol Daek is like a family to Tae Sang and a reliable woman guarding Geum Ok Dang in his absence.
Jo Han Chul plays Yoon Jong Won Chae Ok's father. He joins forces with Tae Sang to infiltrate Ongseong Hospital in search of clues about his missing wife.
Wi Ha Joon transforms into Kwon Joon Taek, a friend of Tae Sang and an independence fighter. Joon Taek is the son of a wealthy family who has access to exclusive information on Ongseong Hospital. He secretly participates in the independence movement because he is ashamed of his pro-Japanese family.
