An eye-catching character poster has been unveiled, showcasing Shin Sae Kyeong as Tan Ya, the high priestess of Arthdal, a spiritual leader, in the highly anticipated tvN weekend drama Arthdal Chronicles: The Sword of Aramoon.
Arthdal Chronicles: The Sword of Aramoon is set in the mythical land of Arth, where the fate of its inhabitants is shaped by the wielder of the sword.
Eight years after Ta Gon (Jang Dong Gun) became the King of Arthdal, new dynamics arise among Ta Gon, Eun Seom and Sa Ya (Lee Joon Gi), Tan Ya (Shin Sae Kyeong), and Tae Al Ha (Kim Ok Bin).
In the revealed poster, Shin Sae Kyeong exudes a mysterious and ethereal aura as Tan Ya, the high priestess of Arthdal, revered by the people. From being a once-powerless girl from the Wa Han tribe, Tan Ya has ascended in stature to stand on par with Ta Gon, Arthdal's King. Her portrayal no longer embodies fragility; instead, it radiates the poise and vigor of a high priestess.
The caption, "Even if it means resorting to threats in the name of God for a world where we don't have to fight", hints at Shin Sae Kyeong's mission as the high priestess of Arthdal. In an era where the dominant ruthlessly exploit their power, where authority is secured through violence and treachery, curiosity deepens regarding how Tan Ya will fulfill her calling.
Be seated for the premiere of Arthdal Chronicles: The Sword of Aramoon on September 9th on Disney+.
