Song Seung Heon is confirmed to join as a villain in the upcoming Netflix original series "Black Knight."
On February 10th Netflix confirmed the casting of Song Seung Heon. He will be joining Kim Woo Bin and Esom in the upcoming action sci-fi drama.
Netflix revealed that Song Seung Heon will be playing the role of Ryu Seok, the successor of the Chun Myung Group who dominates the world with oxygen weapons. Kim Woo Bin will play the role of the refugee named as "5-8." He is the first-ever delivery driver. Esom on the other hand will play the role of Seol Ah. She's an officer in the Defense Intelligence Command.
Kim Woo Bin will be playing the role of "5-8", a refugee and also the first-ever delivery driver. Esom will portray the role of a soldier who's aiming to become the Minister of National Defense named Seol Ah.
"Black Knight" will base its story on a webtoon of the same name by Lee Yoon Kyun. The drama is set in 2017 when the earth is not livable without an oxygen respirator because air pollution has become severe and people eventually rely heavily on delivery services. The series will be directed by Cho Eui Seok ( "Master" and "Cold Eyes").
The upcoming series will be led by Kim Woo Bin, Esom, Kang Yoo Seok, Kim Eui Sung, and Song Seung Heon.
"Black Knight" will exclusively air on Netflix. The series will reportedly premiere in 2023.
This series will be Song Seung Heon's next drama and first-ever Netflix project. He last starred in the 2021 hit drama "Voice 4: Judgment Hour" with Lee Ha Na, Son Eun Seo, Baek Sung Hyun, and Winner's Kang Seung Yoon.
The actor will also participate in the upcoming movie "The Hidden Face" with actress Jo Bo Ah.
Song Seung Heon has starred in several dramas such as "East of Eden," "Summer Scent," "Autumn Tale," "My Princess," "Saimdang, Light’s Diary," "Black," "Dinner Mate," and more.
