Upcoming SBS drama "Taxi Driver" starring "Lee Je Hoon, Esom, April's Lee Na Eun, and Kim Eui Sung confirms its airing date.
On February 16, it was announced that upon completion of "The Penthouse 2: War in Life", the upcoming drama "Taxi Driver" will take its spot and premiere on April 9.
The upcoming Friday-Saturday drama is about a mysterious taxi service named Rainbow Taxi Company where driver Kim Do Gi plots revenge on behalf of victims that cannot get their justice from the law.
"Taxi Driver" is based from the web-toon of the same name by Carlos and Keukeu Jae Jin.
Park Joon Woo, who also worked on "Doctor Detective," will direct the drama and Oh Sang Ho who wrote "Fabricated City" and "Code Name: Jackal" will be the scriptwriter.
High expectations are set for "Taxi Driver" with its unique plot and star studded cast that includes Lee Je Hoon, Esom, Kim Eui Sung, April's Lee Na Eun, Cha Ji Yeon, Jang Hyuk Jin and Bae Yoo Ram.
Lee Je Hoon will play as Kim Do Gi a former member of the special forces and now a taxi driver. Esom will play the role of Kang Ha Na, a prosecutor who passionately pursues justice. Kim Eui Sung on the other hand, will play the role of Jang Sung Cheol, the CEO of the mysterious taxi company. April's Lee Na Eun will be a skilled hacker who breaks into systems to find and expose personal information.
This will be the return of Lee Je Hoon in dramas since 2018. He last appeared in the drama "Where Stars Land" with Chae Soo Bin. Meanwhile Esom recently released her movie "Samjin Company English Class" that attracted more than 1 million moviegoers.
"Taxi Driver" will air on April 9 on SBS at 10 p.m. KST.
