"The Pirates: The Last Royal Treasure" will also be available on Netflix.
On February 23rd, Netflix released the video teaser of the movie "The Pirates: The Last Royal Treasure." The film already premiered in Korean theaters last January and will now be added to Netflix, where it can be viewed by 190 countries all over the world.
"The Pirates: The Last Royal Treasure" was the first Korean movie of 2022 that garnered over 1 million moviegoers. The film achieved this after 10 days of its release.
The film is an action-comedy movie that showcases the adventure of a band of pirates who searches the deep blue sea for the sunken treasure that is owned by a royal family.
"The Pirates: The Last Royal Treasure" is led by Kang Ha Neul, Han Hyo Joo, Lee Kwang Soo, Kwon Sang Woo, EXO's Oh Se Hun, Chae Soo Bin, Kim Sung Oh, Jo Sung Joon, Park Ji Hwan, Kim Ki Doo, and Park Hoon. Actor Sung Dong Il also made a special appearance in the film.
The movie is directed by Kim Jung Hoon ("The Accidental Detective") and written by Chun Sung Il ("All of Us Are Dead").
Netflix brought the movie to their platform to showcase the high-quality film not only to domestic viewers but also to global audiences.
The film will be available to Netflix across the globe this coming March 2. It will have subtitles in 31 languages and dubbing in eight languages.
"The Pirates: The Last Royal Treasure" is the sequel to the 2014 film "The Pirates" led by Kim Nam Gil, Son Ye Jin, Kim Tae Woo, Lee Kyung Young, f(x) Sulli, Park Chul Min, and more. Writer Chung Sung Il also wrote the movie.
