Uhm Ki Joon and Hwang Jung Eum will possibly be in one drama!
On April 26th, media outlet YTN Star shared that Uhm Ki Joon and Hwang Jung Eum have been chosen to lead the upcoming SBS drama "Seven Escape."
"Seven Escape" will be the next project of director Joo Dong Min and writer Kim Soon Ok, the makers of the three seasons of "The Penthouse: War in Life" and "The Last Empress."
According to reports, the drama's storyline is highly confidential. It is said the series will be led by seven main characters and Uhm Ki Joon and Hwang Jung Eun are the first to be revealed.
Meanwhile, Uhm Ki Joon and Hwang Jung Eum's side haven't responded yet to the casting reports.
"Seven Escape" will exclusively air on SBS, the same broadcast station as "The Penthouse: War in Life."
If Uhm Ki Joon confirms his casting, this will be his first drama project for the year. This will also be his third project with director Joo Dong Min. They first worked together on the three seasons of "The Penthouse: War in Life." He is also set to star in the upcoming movie "It’s Alright" by director Joo Dong Min. He will be reuniting with Penthouse stars such as Kim So Yeon, Lee Ji Ah, Yoon Jong Hoon, Shin Eun Kyung, and Bong Tae Kyu in the film.
Uhm Ki Joon is also set to make a special cameo appearance on the ongoing tvN drama "Sh**ting Stars" to show his support for Yoon Jong Hoon.
Meanwhile, if Hwang Jung Eum confirms her casting, this will be her comeback drama after giving birth to her second child. She last starred in the 2020 series "To All The Guys Who Loved Me" with Yoon Hyun Min, Seo Ji Hoon, Jo Woo Ri, Choi Myung Gil, and Seo Hyun Chul.
Hwang Jung Eum is known for leading the dramas "Mystic Pop-Up Bar," "The Undateables," "Lucky Romance," "She Was Pretty," "Kill Me, Heal Me," "Secret," and more.
