Yoon Jong Hoon and Shin Eun Kyung will reportedly reunite with Penthouse director, writer, and actor Uhm Ki Joon in the upcoming SBS drama "The Escape of Seven."
On April 27th media outlets shared that Yoon Jong Hoon and Shin Eun Kyung will be added to the cast of the upcoming SBS series "The Escape of Seven." If the two confirmed their casting, this will be their drama reunion with director Joo Dong Min and writer Kim Soon Ok, the persons behind the three seasons of "The Penthouse: War in Life." They will also work once again with Uhm Ki Joon.
"The Escape of Seven" will tell the story of seven main characters. The detailed storyline is still not revealed and strictly confidential.
If Shin Eun Kyung confirms her appearance, this will be her fourth time working with the director and writer. Aside from the Penthouse series, the three also worked together in the 2018 series "The Last Empress."
Aside from the possible reunion of some "The Penthouse: War in Life" casts, actress Hwang Jung Eum is also in talks to join the upcoming drama.
"The Escape of Seven" will exclusively premiere on SBS.
Yoon Jong Hoon is currently starring in the tvN series "Sh**ting Stars" with Lee Sung Kyung, Kim Young Dae, Kim Yoon Hye, Girls Day Park So Jin, and CNBLUE's Lee Jung Shin. The actor will also join the upcoming film "It’s Alright" with Penthouse co-stars.
In 2021, the actor focused on appearing in the two seasons "The Penthouse 2: War in Life" and "The Penthouse 3: War in Life." he also appeared in the reality show "Mean No Harm" with Uhm Ki Joon and Bong Tae Kyu.
On the other hand, this drama will possibly be Shin Eun Kung's follow-up project after "The Penthouse 3: War in Life." She will appear in the upcoming film "It’s Alright" by director Joo Dong Min and writer Kim Soon Ok with other Penthouse stars.
