Chiang Chin Teng

Year 2025

On September 19, 2025, Chiang Chin Teng sits in a café across from his boyfriend Shao I Chen. Beside him sits I Chun, his fiancée. He announces they will get married. After Shao I Chen leaves heartbroken, Chiang Chin Teng follows after him. Even after catching up, all he does is watch I Chen cry. When he finally can't bear I Chen's cries anymore, he goes to speak, but Shao I Chen gets up and leaves. Chiang Chin Teng cries too.

Year 2016

Meeting

Chiang Chin Teng is shown with Tsai I Chun at a food stall. She seems to like him, but he shows no interest in her advances.

On campus, Chiang Chin Teng sits with his friend, Che Kang. A piece of paper is blown in their direction. A note about Chin Teng is written on it. Chiang Chin Teng becomes curious and takes an immediate interest in the owner of the paper.

Chiang Chin Teng finds Shao I Chen leaving his classroom and asks him how long he was been watching him. Before getting and answer, he is driven away by Lei Chung Chun. He is then avoided by Shao I Chen. When Che Kang asks about his interest in Shao I Chen, he replies by saying he feels like Shao I Chen should be his.

Accident

After secretly watching Shao I Chen, he joins the Universal Research Club to be closer to him. On a trip for the club, he picks up Shao I Chen and carries him to a tent. Chin Teng tells I Chen he doesn't know why, but he wants him to be only his. He asks to see the rest of the notes before being told they were burned. He then pushes Shao I Chen down, forcefully kissing and touching him. Shao I Chen pushes him off and runs. He chases after the fleeing I Chen. He warns I Chen to stop and grabs hold of him. They both roll down a hill coming to a stop at a tree. Chiang Chin Teng lays unconscious with blood coming from his head.

He is unconscious in the hospital for days before finally waking up. He does not recognize Shao I Chen. Shao I Chen lets Chin Teng stay at his house while he recovers. It is then revealed that Chiang Chin Teng is faking his amnesia as a part of his scheme to get close to I Chen. During his stay, he gets to experience the warmth of a loving family, something he doesn't have with his own.

The two spend a lot of time together during Chin Teng's recovery. Chin Teng continues to make advances on Shao I Chen. He even tells him that he does not wish to regain his memories if I Chen was not in them. When I Chen tries to leave, Chin Teng affirms I Chen has feelings for him, and then kisses I Chen. I Chen runs away while Chin Teng looks happy.

Revelation

Later, Chin Teng is called out by I Chun. She confronts him about faking his amnesia just to be close to Shao I Chen. Angered, he grabs her and warns her not to threaten him. He turns around to find that I Chen heard everything. He wants to explain, but I Chen leaves before he can. He chases after him. After catching up, he is punched. I Chen runs into the street. About to get hit by an oncoming car, he pulls I Chen to his chest. Though the car had stopped, he holds onto him worried. Shao I Chen pushes him off and runs again.

At Shao I Chen's house, Chin Teng grabs I Chen and forcefully kisses him. He tells I Chen that he feels like he can't be without him ever since he found the journal pages. He then follows I Chen to the bedroom and pushes him onto the bed. Holding him down, he tells I Chen that only he can stop this game of pursuit since I Chen is the one who initiated it. With tears in his eyes, he tells I Chen that he wants him to look only at him and to give him his heart and body. He even thinks that he, himself, is acting crazy, but doesn't want to lose the feeling of happiness that he felt while with I Chen. Chin Teng kisses him again. Crying, I Chen questions Chin Teng, wondering if he was afraid of rejection and that is why he faked amnesia to stay close to him. I Chen speculates that Chiang Chin Teng wanted him to confess first, so that way a rejection wouldn't occur. Still emotional, he kisses I Chen again. I Chen eventually asks him what he would do if he said he didn't like him. Chiang Chin Teng answers by saying he would kill I Chen. If he couldn't have him, then nobody else could either. I Chen finally confesses his feelings to Chin Teng. Relieved and happy, Chin Teng confesses too, kissing I Chen again.

Funeral

Back in 2025, Chiang Chin Teng and the others are holding a funeral for Shao I Chen. Heartbroken, Chin Teng can't even hold himself together as he scatters some of I Chen's ashes. Mu Pai blames Chin Teng for I Chen's death. I Chun tries to defend Chin Teng by saying that he only faked their engagement so that Chin Teng's parents wouldn't cause trouble for I Chen. Chin Teng drops to his knees and cries out for I Chen. Che Kang reminds him that I Chen passed away. He hugs Che Kang and cries into his arms.

New Beginning

Calling out I Chen's name, Chin Teng jolts awake from a dream and hugs I Chen, saying he had a nightmare of I Chen being killed by a car and holding his funeral. He goes on to say that he had faked an engagement with I Chun, this saddened I Chen and caused him to run off and get hit by a car. Finding it ridiculous, Chin Teng vows he will never use a girl to protect I Chen. He will do it himself.

Shao I Chen rolls above Chin Teng. Chin Teng listens as Shao I Chen tells him that he will never belong to anybody. After kissing Chin Teng's collar, he says that Chin Teng is his. Chin Teng smiles and kisses I Chen questioning who is really whose. They continue to kiss and happily roll around on the bed.

• Shao I Chen's first note on him mentions that when Chiang Chin Teng does a left-sided lay-up, he flinches his right shoulder.

• The second note mentions that Chin Teng will never notice the junior, Shao I Chen, that has been watching him.

• He comes from a law family. His dad is Dean of the school's law department, his mom is a judge, and his sister is a prosecutor.

• Rumors of Chiang Chin Teng being possessive of his lover have circulated since high school.
