What are we watching next

When The Phone Rings; loving it but it's airing one or two episodes weekly *weeps*

I just watched Family by Choice; and I'm thinking of finally watching Go Ahead; but I don't enjoy watching Seven Tan all that much (which is why I won't also be watching BO). I guess I'll take the time to clear my Plan To Watch list.

I've completed 58 dramas (First watch) this year; 60 is a good number to end the year on, so I'm taking my time in deciding what dramas to watch this December.

@TaliaToo, now that you have finished Pearl Girl, what do you think? I just read the above and it sounds like a promising start. I’m waiting for it to finish on Netflix before I start. I’m also in the middle of The Ingenious One and Moving.

It's wordy, as usual, forgive me. But a drama that gives me thoughts and makes me write wordy essays mean it was worth my time, haha. 

In a nutshell, though, it is not a brilliantly written drama, especially when it went into the business parts (2nd half), but it kept my attention because LuSi as the protagonist was damn mesmerizing, changing from slave girl to savvy businesswoman. But, this is not a romance drama...it's more like one of those sagas written by the old-time women's fiction writer Danielle Steele, in which the focus is about the woman's life, her love(s) and her journey towards finding her true path.

They didn't give the Su Min Zhe arc any depth. It's neither rushed or sloppy but it feels off and you feel the emptiness of something that was supposed to be there but just wasn't. But it's still perfectly enjoyable, just slightly lacking for the build up from the first arc.

Yes, the writers suddenly fell in love with Cui19 and Sheng5 and gave them the important arc. I felt that they lost their way a little writing about the jewelry business. They should have brought the real villains front and center instead of making it an afterthought. The noble idiocy arc lasted wayyyyyy too long.

Like all our recent dramas, I think you should watch the first 17 episodes, LOL. It was really great and it did end on a very satisfying note. Really worth it if you have Netflix and big screen TV. That first few minutes of LuSi underwater is worth every penny.

BLOSSOM, my Doublets! It’s directed by my favorite short format director. He did Familiar Stranger and Butterflied Lovers. They were good!

Just binged all available 26 episodes of Blossom *exhausted sigh* 

It's very bingeable! The Story is great; and so is the chemistry but no where near The Double. It's less theatrical than The Double more along the lines of The Rise of Ning and Story of Minglan. It's a very solid backyard politics drama even though its Emperors, crown princes and generals drama.

But today is When The Phone Rings day *dances*! I'll wait for all episodes to drop before continuing Blossom.

I absolutely loved Familiar Stranger but I haven't watched Butterflied Lovers.

Familiar is absolutely my favorite one of this format. I discovered this director when my sis told me to check out the new type of short drama format that just debut for people standing in line.  😂 lol
