wow, 8.9 on mydramalist! i also liked Familiar stranger and now have Butterflied Lovers on my watch list. i can't wait for viki to get all the Blossom episodes...i want to binge watch them all during the holiday break! thanks for the recommendation!
how does it compare to The Double thus far?

In spite of how the fans on that board rate it, it is nowhere near the Double’s sparkling brilliance in dialogue and twists. But definitely very good! It is like Ming Lan and The Sword and the Brocade because family shizzz always challenging the leads. The difference is this is a rebirth drama and the FL is trying very hard at changing the shzzzzzz and saving her man too!

I have had a soft spot for Li Yun Rui since Love Like A Galaxy and have always thought him very handsome. He looks mightily sexy in grey hair heh. I’m pleased for his success.

I have a feeling the ending might have a twist like A Familiar Stranger because the director used several things from that drama Ala the arrow pierce part. We shall see!

Oh the arrow part!!!! It reminded me of Familiar Stranger; no wonder as it is the same director. My mind immediately went to this scene: "I wanted to ask her if the arrow scared her!?" *my heart* :))))))

Yes! I too began keeping an eye on Li Yun Rui since Love Like A Galaxy and Scent of Time! I couldn’t wait, so have started it. I agree with you that the dialogue and music are nowhere near The Double, but it is a fun watch! Thanks for the recommendation!

Just binged all available 26 episodes of Blossom *exhausted sigh*
It's very bingeable! The Story is great; and so is the chemistry but no where near The Double. It's less theatrical than The Double more along the lines of The Rise of Ning and Story of Minglan. It's a very solid backyard politics drama even though its Emperors, crown princes and generals drama.
But today is When The Phone Rings day *dances*! I'll wait for all episodes to drop before continuing Blossom.

LOL, i couldn’t wait so have started watching. I’m on ep 12 so am hoping the other episodes drop before i get there!! And agree, the chemistry is not like The Double, but the two leads are cute together.

I've been busy at work so am so behind. Perhaps I'll catch up with YOU and then we could discuss this together. I'm not totally unspoilt, of course. I do watch some parts here and there on YouTube. I do plan to continue watching in the next few days.

Did anyone finish blossom yet? I started watching and its QUITE good. The leads are definitely cute together but the spark that Double had was wayyy better. But Blossom would surely rank in my top dramas for 2024 though
