i find my self doing this alot recently : i liked a drama reasonably well, but put off watching the last few episodes b/c i dont want to ruin it with a crappy ending. i put off the last episode of Down with Love for two weeks, Office girls i avoided for over a week (both final episodes had moments of great, but over all blech) i've been avoiding the last 2 or 3 episodes of Meteor garden for a week and a half now b/c i REALLY liked it, but the stuff i've read aobut MG2 isnt promising. do any of you ever put off finsihing up a show for fear of bad endings?
Not me...I always like to know what ever it's ending.... I'm not a masochist..bwahahaha... I don't like to agonized over the drama's ending... I like to go and get over with it... The more I liked the drama the more I anticipate and like to reach it's conclusion:-)
most bad endings is subjective ive watched some shows that they say..that they hate the ending or its terrible..but when i reach the end..i was like "this ending is awesome lol"
I usually avoid watching the last episode of a drama for a little bit, but it's not because I'm afraid it will have a crappy ending, it's because I get sad when a drama I really like ends.
Like ThirteenBox, the only reason why I would put off the last episode(s) is because I don't want the drama - and the pleasure - to end.
Some endings aren't what I was expecting, but all in all they rarely change my opinion of the drama as a whole. I agree with you that Down to Love didn't have a spectacular ending, but then no Taiwanes drama I've watched so far had one, really.
So, unless they are so random and ludicrous that in the space of a couple of episodes they manage to ruin everything that was - perfect example Love Keeps Going - I don't really mind the ending so much. On the other hand, a very good ending can make a good drama into a brilliant one.
I digressed, sorry.
To answer your question: no, I don't put them off. I have put off a drama by the middle though, and it was a huge mistake: on picking it up again, the thrill was gone.
I do this all the time. Especially with book series, but I do it often with television series too. lol I think it's because I'm not ready to say good bye to the characters that I love.
I never do that. I'm way too curious, especially if I liked the drama a lot. I can't wait even a day. ^^'
It's the same for me, don't do this, too...when the drama was ok or exciting so far, I can't put off the last episode at all due to my curiosity, even if I sense a bad end. It might happen though that I keep it in mind then for a couple of days to come to terms with it ^^
I do it mostly for the opposite reason. If I really love a drama and don't want it to end...I might delay watching the last episode for a bit but I never take too long because I can't wait if it's that good...Ultimately I want to watch and see how it ends. If a drama is lagging I might have trouble getting myself to watch the final episode/s...that is a whole different story. I am not 'putting it off', I am struggling to keep with it! coughloveraincough!
i actually do the same thing!! ive done that with many dramas. I watch until the last two episodes about. thats usually where everything is still happy and your favorite character isn't about to die yet. I i did it with Ice Princess (i think its called) and also Stairway to Heaven. in my minds, these dramas ended perfectly happy :)
I can't just stop and not finish a series but i do often if i dont like the ending and like most of the story and characters i will make up my own endings for the drama.
never, i think.. but i sometimes wish i did.... for example. high kick 2... i'm not a sad-ending hater, but it was just too random, and I watched too many episodes to get such a random ending... >_< still loved the series, tho.. :P QIM also..i actually prefer to watch only its 14 episodes...but the lovely couple made it worth to watch anyway so well...
Yes I most certainly do ....

I call it my putting the drama in the fridge moment [reference to Joey in Friends putting books with sad endings in the fridge lol]

I usually do this when the drama has reached a point where I am on tenterhooks & don't know which way the story is going to go or where I think something bad is gonna happen to one of my favourite characters.

I usually wait until I have calmed down enough to continue ....
I never do that; i have to finish a drama if i start it
I do that all the time, I watch drama for couple of episodes, then I stop, then I forget which episode I was on ( if I don't update MDL properly)... My On hold list is getting bigger and bigger. But then I'll start watching a new drama and finish it in 2 days. Depends on the mood I guess..
