The amount of people I've seen rave about Nirvana in Fire is not few, I keep putting it off because the length is a big commitment, what did you like about it?

Everything. The mood, the tone, the set up, the acting, the characters, the narrative, the cinematography, the chemistry, the plot, the no cliche, the era, the twists, the reveals and so much more.

NIRVANA IN FIRE is like a chinese version  fusion drama of Alexander Dumas's Count of Monte cristo and Game of Thrones. Such an epic drama.

An epic drama that just carries you deeper and deeper into their awesome, chaotic, political, and strategical world. There is about 10% romance, but it doesnt really matter cause each character you root for and wait in bated breath for what will happen to them. And even the villains just mesmerized me. Su

For me its Reply 1988. I loved it so much that  I have decided to watch anything made by PD Shin Won-Ho. For C-drama its Nirvana In Fire.

I'm seeing a lot of people mention Reply 1988, the entire main cast seems to be actors that are really "big" at the moment. Park Bo Gum especially <3

Is that considered to be the favorite out of all the reply series? Seeing as how a lot of y'all are raving about it, it appears my plan to watch list just grew longer. :)

Wow not even kidding, you just sold me on whether or not to give this a try! This sounds amazing and Game of Thrones is probably my favorite show ever outside of dramaland, so I'm 100% checking this out when I have like a good 2 weeks to binge-watch.

Thanks Chingu. :)

Probably a tie between Healer and Chicago Typewriter. Tunnel also comes pretty close.

Unfortunately I can't tell you how perfect everything in this drama is. Every aspect, the characters, the story, the OST....was beautifully made. This drama is all about family, friendship, the struggles of youth, happiness and sadness. It's nostalgic, warm and real. Sorry, my words can't do It justice.

It has to be "Secret". I've watched some of the episodes of this drama 5 or 6 times.

You are welcome.

And awesome, you love GoT too. Game of thrones and Breaking bad are actually my fave american series ever. And i am crying thinking i still need to wait for 2019 for the last season of GOT.  T_T

Anyway Just a little heads up, much like start of season 1 for GOT, the first 2-4 episodes of NIF will pretty much be an introduction: of  the extensive characters, then to the political landscape and then thencurrent power struggle  of the Liang Empire. So power through that part, then its better and better after.

Definitely Nirvana in Fire and Red Sorghum (2014)
Currently addicted to The Advisors Alliance

"Nobuta wo Produce" and "Healer"

Most probably Nirvana in Fire and Dear My Friends

My All time favorite:

C Drama : Ten Miles of Peach Blossoms

K Drama : Six Flying Dragons and Scarlet Heart Ryeo

So hard to choose! I'm so indecisive, to be honest. I only just recently completed Goblin but it was just so great and such a high quality K-Drama that I'd totally consider it to be my favorite K-Drama and drama in general. Otherwise, it could possibly be Age of Youth. That was also a great, quirky K-Drama that really kept me interested.

Secret.    Ji Sung is amazing in this.
