Well, there is always a difference between the character age and the real age of the actor/actress portraying it - It is impossible not to do so. A kind of age-gap. This thread idea is to say which character-actor-age-gaps are confusing, surprising or awkward to us. To me there are Queen Seon Deok and Itazura na Kiss (the new japanese version). In Queen Seon Deok, Lady Mishil is Ha Jong and Bo Jong's mother. But, it doesn't seem so! The woman seems to be younger than her sons. I don't know how old they are suposed to be in the drama, but in real life today they have 42, 37 and 34. It was confusing to me at first, even more if I had troubles remembering the character's names. In Itazura na Kiss I was surprised when I knew that the main actor Furukawa Yuki (Irie Naoki) is 25 years old. In the beginning of the drama they are seventeen, right? Maybe I shouldn't be really surprised because most actors in high schools dramas are 20-23 years old. I don't know.
Hahaha Ha Jong really looked way older than his mother Mishil :)
Yes, he really did. I even read on some comments somewhere saying that Mishil had drank from the fontain of youth or something like that.
not really. galileo 2, last cinderella, minna esper dayo, sennyu tantei tokage... most dramas do not have this problem. maybe its more of a korean problem
When I saw Furukawa Yuki's real age, I was kind of surprised because he looks so young (I'm referring to Itazura Na Kiss: Love In Tokyo) and also dramas/movies that stars Song Joong Ki in it. He seriously looks like a teenager :))
How about Hana Kimi? Oguri Shun was playing a 17 or 18 year old guy [last year of high school], while he was 25.

Also, even though it's in the plot and not in the cast, how can in My Boss, My Hero, anyone believe that a 27 year old Sakaki Mako be 18 years old??? [Nagase Tomoya was 28, so that's fine]
In My Boss, My Hero it was part of the joke though, what's going to be really ridiculous is Lee Min Ho playing a high school student in Heirs. His looks are too.. mature? And that Furukawa Yuki, he's got dark powers; I've seen him as a highschool student and university graduate and he always looks exactly the age of the character he's portraying regardless of his own age, how does he do that ಠ_ಠ
