I post this in General Asia Forum, because the issue is international. Love triangles, octagons and other figures are a must in Asian dramas and in probably 70% of them there'll be that cliché character - the evil ex-girlfriend (somehow male exes are never as evil) - the successful/ambitious/beautiful/rich woman, who at first usually throws away the feelings of the male lead, only to comeback loving him obsessively, and putting her ambition to get him back. The character to hate, the creature that makes us want to hit our computers, every time when she's on the screen. So I wanted to ask you all to let out your irritation a bit, and tell who do you think was the most evil, most vexing, most obsessing ex in drama. We need to give them some recognition.
For me, the choice is the ex-girlfriend of Shiang Yu Ping (male lead) in Taiwanese drama Down with love. She was such a terrible, terrible person !SPOILER! She used the guy who loved her to get his best friend(the lead), then abandoned her boyfriend for career, then came back to get him and again used the guy in the beginning (who still loved her) to get the main heroine away from her ex-boyfriend..END OF SPOILER She.. she was really mental!
But that's only my opinion. Who would you choose as the most evil ex?
Hmmm, Here are my Picks: Not really an evil "ex" but the most evil person I can think of right now is...

1) Yoon Joo from My Princess. I Know! I'm sorry I always pick her but when I think of Evil Wenches I Want To Smack Really Hard!! I think of her.

2) The step mother from Shining Inheritance (she could sort of be considered an ex...to the husband/father...as she forced him to pretend he was dead) Oh my god...she was so horrible.

3) What's her horrible face from City Hall. Can't think of her name right now. She was god awfull.

4) Baek Yeo Jin from Queen of Reversals. She was a true EX and she was HORRIBLE! (a little redeemed at the end but still for most of the drama she's a scheming wench.)
Haha I saw the words Evil Exes , and now all I can think about is Scott Pilgirm vs The World :)

I love that movie :p

I have to agree with those two...Just horrible women.

I agree with this one 100%. The whole time I watched Shining Inheritance I kept wishing horrible things would happen to her. WHen she had that nightmare about her husband strangling her, I kept thinking that she would have deserved it. She was so EVIL!

I agree with this one. She was shallow, mean and terribly self-centred. But I also think that her partner in crime, the so-called friend who loved her, was even worse, if possible. I was so hoping for Yu Ping to beat him to a pulp that even the ex-girlfriend horrid behaviour was somehow forgotten for a while, outshined by the hate I felt for Ke Zhong. He betrayed an innocent girl heart in the worst possible way. Grrrrrrrrr. Does it show that I'm a feminist? ;);)

This said, the ex girlfriend in Lie to Me was the type I'd love to punch myself. I hate women playing the victims, and even more those who can't let go of a man, no matter how many times he tells them NO.
Oh Ha Ni & Lee Da Hae (My Girl)..im sorry i know they were both the leads n definitely not the exes but i have never seen anyone more evil and scheming than these 2 women..

Oh Ha Ni is just plain stupid, in my humble opinion. Even evilness requires some brain. :p

Pity, because there are some truly worth the watch, imo. The problem with TWdramas is that the most "advertised" ones are usually the silliest, with girls making round eyes and screaming instead of talking and guys either constantly frowning or totally besotted.
Down with Love is a very nice drama though, despite the evil lady and her evil henchman in tow. :)

I know what you mean. At the beginning of my drama-watching I only liked Japanese. Every other language seemed to take away the emotion for me. Then I slowly got used to Korean and from there to Mandarin I found the jump was a smaller one.
But it can't be helped: voices and language have just as much an impact on our taste as a good-looking face or a nice story. :)
