Has got to be the cutest I've seen <3
at the sushi place here you can get the fried tofu from inarizushi as sashimi but that's the only non-fish sashimi i've ever seen or heard of. and i love rice so i can't imagine getting it that way, i'd always get it as sushi
(also at this particular restaurant if you order sashimi the fish isn't thinly sliced you get a big hunk of it. kinda grossed me out when everyone else was eating it last time we went lol)
i love the cute bento!!
have you been to annathered.com ? she has some of the coolest designs i've ever seen, lots of anime characters
http://www.annathered.com/gallery/bento/
Well~ I could technically make them since well my major is art .___.; but yes they are gorgeous/cute. LMAO we should have a major webcam party in attempting to make Japanese food!
those pictures are almost cute overload, hehe. I'm not sure I could even eat the one in the top pic.
great idea yuri. i'm sure we'd be laughing so hard, hehe.
Dang no edit button but...fried tofu sashimi? I don't think it was legit sashimi...mind you sashimi is not sushi and it does not accompany rice either. http://www.littlesushiontheprairie.com/Images/sashimi6.jpg

WEBCAM PARTHEY!! xD Majority of us will fail in making them lol xD
Ahahahaha but practice makes things perfect right? But it would be fun though~
I really like sushi, sashimi, udon and melon bread...
There are some really awesome authentic Japanese restaurants in the San Francisco bay area. We also have alot of asian supermarkets. That's where I discovered my love of hello panda, yan yan and pocky's!!!
I also make a pretty good bento. :D

Chan, Udon noodles are my top one partner on rainy days xD I like it more than I like ramen or Miso soup xD

Hello Panda, Yan Yan, Pocky, Meiji chocolates are the best xD
I don't like chocolate, so I usually just try the strawberry flavor in candy. Pocky is so yummy. I love how thin the cookies are. The icing in Yan Yan is too sweet for me, but dipping things are fun, hehehe.

yarp. their menu has it listed under both sushi and sashimi, if you order the sashimi it's just tofu, if you order it as sushi it's just like sushi you get with fish on top except it's a piece of tofu on top. it's usually a corner piece too so the way it stands up on the rice it looks like one of those old fashioned straw (or is it bamboo?) hats Japanese farmers wore/wear. it makes me want to put a face on the piece of rice. i'm a dork haha
Hmm that's weird that they serve tofu as sashimi.
So the most important question ever:

hello panda vs. march of the koalas?
