Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) 日本語能力試験

I know it's a while off yet, but is anyone studying for the JLPT?
I'm trying to find people to talk to in hopes of it keeping me motivated to study by knowing that someone else is going through this same hell as well lol

I only just passed N2 in July, so I'm currently studying like all get out to pass N1. I'm not sure when I'm going to be taking it (probably in December), but I'm still kind of freaking out about it because N2 was hard enough!
Currently, the books I'm using are 日本語総まとめ, I got introduced to them when I was studying in Japan and I like how they're set out much better than other JLPT textbooks I've come across. Still, N1... I think I'm going to die before I even get to the test... OTL

So, to the people that are studying for it:
●What level are you doing?
●What resources are you using to study? Books/internet/etc.
●When are you taking the exam?

N2! Wow!
I passed N4 last year, and thinking of taking N3 next year,cause currently I'm more focused on my Korean studies :)... I'm also learning from 日本語総まとめ, but as well, I found some site that has a list of vocabulary,grammar, that is quite acceptable,and helpful,eventhough it's not accumulative list... It's this one, and you have it for all 5 levels :D

How hard is Korean? I've been thinking about buying a couple of textbooks to start, but I'm not sure what's good. Any recommendations?

I just came back from studying in Japan, and I'm planning to study for the N2 or N3, but I don't have any books for it yet. I was studying with my friend and the books she had before. Does anyone have a recommendation for a good grammar or kanji book? I've been considering purchasing the Learner's Japanese Kanji Dictionary, for example.

I haven´t taken any test so far :D But since I haven´t been studying Japanese so much yet I would probably take the lowest level N5 ^^ Congrats in getting N21 Wow~~~ That´s amazing ;o What Bannie has been saying is true....you probably must be better than mostly of the native speaker...Haha So I wish you luck >.<

there are alot of bad reviews for this book on amazon. there is a book called rememeber the kanji. it teaches stroke order and gives stories to help with remembering the english meaning/translation of the kanji. it's good for learning a lot of kanji quickly if you are dedicated...it has about 2000 kanji. the downside is you it doesn't teach the japanese readings. so you better keep the dictionary/ electronic translator near by. ah if only learning kanji was easier.

I passed JLPT level 2 in December 2009, a few months before they introduced the new test format. I have no plans to go for N1 at the present time, though. Maybe someday...?
