Hitsuji to Okami no Koi to Satsujin
My Blood & Bones in a Flowing Galaxy  I didn't want to tag it as dark and gloomy because of how heartwarming it was overall but it has those parts. Any way, this is one of my most favorites.

You can also pick any version of the "The Tale of Genji."
