The song starts at 30:15.

Is this an actual, commercially released song or is it a song specifically written for this drama? I checked the track list of the soundtrack and there is no mention of "Kaze no Uta" there. I assume that is the title since that's what the actress said.

I appreciate all help! Thanks!
It's by Folk group Hashida Norihiko and the Shoe Belts. Also seen it romanised as "Shuberts". No idea which is correct. The title is "Kaze".

Thank you so much for this! I knew that it's going to be this "old" just because of the melody. Again, thanks a lot!!!
Welcome. =) Folk music pops up in dramas quite often.
Can you list some? I love these kinds of songs, I just don't know the titles. :( Thanks!
I like 60s/70s Japanese folk too.

I can't remember the precise dramas, sorry. But they're often high school dramas in situations like choral contests, or that scene in Q10. I do vividly remember Nagori Yuki in Yankee Bokou ni Kaeru. I love that song.

That is a beautiful song! My exposure to this kind of music pretty much came from the anime themesongs(closing themes most of the time) of the 70s.

Here's a sample:

Do you like kayoukyoku and 70s/80s idol music, by any chance?
Thanks, you two! :) I like these songs! :)
me too.. Daimo's wow. where did you guys find this or how.. anyway thanks
Here's another one that I like:

You welcome lily!

I do like the music, I'm just not familiar with the artists. The artists that I know tend to be Anisons(anime singers) like Horie Mitsuko, Ichiro Mizuki, MOJO, etc. I recently learned about Candies after sifting through youtube. So many beautiful versions of Kaze.
Welcome. =)

I just Youtube and Google around when I come across an artist I haven't heard before.
But my first ever Japanese song was Ashita ga Arusa by Sakamoto Kyuu. I learnt the lyrics phonetically when I was young and sang it on the way home from school.

I grew up in the Philippines. :) They used to air these animes dubbed in English but they kept the Japanese Songs. :)

This is one of my first songs, this was a HIT in the Philippines when it came out. I was not even in school then :)
