i like a lot zombie.. at the concert we tell them "please please play zombie" but don't do it ...i can't pay for fanmeeting, but a lot of my who friends who can shake hands with them, i really love their show, yeah noble it was one of my favourites album too , my favourite band is the GazettE, but the first band and i saw was Malice Mizer...but i really get atracted in this for An Cafe, that's why my nickname have Kanon from their bassist, nice to meet you i'm a big fan from Visual Kei.
I used to crazy over Versailles, but their releases have been such a let-down lately.

Anyway, There are 3 new VK bands during this 2012 which totally blow everybody away with their Music, those 3 are: Galeyd, Mejibray, and Signal. Anybody ever heard of these bands?
I used to like visual kei when I was like 13-14, but then I realized that pretty much all of it sounds identical every time. (Though I've noticed the same thing with J-Pop, which I honestly don't think has changed/evolved as a genre since the 90s.)

It probably stems from the fact that they always put their image over actually making good music, though?

There is a truth in your statement here that I can't deny. Some bands really do put their image over their music. But again, there are also some exception, there are also bunch of VK bands who compose epic music while maintaining their beautiful appearance.

Yeah, there are definitely always exceptions to every genre!

I think I was initially just really intrigued by their style, since I hadn't seen anything like that before, but my tastes changed way too fast to stick with it for too long. And now, I'll listen to anything even remotely catchy, so I don't really have room to criticise, haha!
there are a lot of bands that are more about the image than the music (i blame the producers/managers etc more than the bands, often they're just doing what they're told they have to do to sell albums/tickets and have very little say in it) but this is i think why so many VK bands are toning down their images lately, and the hardcore VK fans are giving them a lot of flack for it. i've seen actual anger over bands like Luna Sea and Dir en Grey going on stage without makeup etc... and a lot of people were upset over Miyavi's style change... they're doing it specifically so that people will recognize them for their talent and not just for their clothes and makeup. it makes me sad that some fans really do put more importance into the image than the talent. but yes there definitely are VK bands that are very talented AND have awesome VK style.. and i'm sure many of them struggle with it, they don't get the recognition for their talent that they deserve, but if they change their style they may lose fans. i'm sure many of them also enjoy the style and the attention it gets and don't want to change it. but i agree there are some that are all style and not so much talent
Well, when you think about it, all popular music groups/singers are promoting an image of some kind, it's just that most aren't usually as obvious as visual kei. For instance, many pop singers try to be as fashionable/beautiful as possible, while others opt to use their sexuality to their advantage, and it's all technically the same thing; using their image to sell their music.

And there's nothing wrong with that so long as they have good enough music to back it up, I think.

I remember when Dir en Grey stopped doing visual kei, actually! Wasn't it around the same time as when they started promoting outside Japan?

Yes, I know Signal & Mejibray. They suddenly appeared and have only released great singles since then. Another great not really known Visual Kei Band is Awoi. You guys should check them out if you like voices like Asagi's (D) or Ai's (Deathgaze).

Awoi, these guys are one of my favorite VK bands these days. Dude you don't know Galeyd? if you know Deluhi, you should definitely check these guys out, their music is pretty similar with Deluhi.

Yeah, Awoi really is amazing. They covered X Japan's Forever Love on the Anime songs cover album, it sounds amazing. Really? Like Deluhi? I miss those guys. I'll definitely check them out then, thank you!

I just listened to that cover song, it's beautiful, but I honestly prefer the growly and heavy songs of Awoi tho.

And about Galeyd, you'll be surprised of how similar their musical style is, and you might even think that Galeyd is Deluhi's impostor.

Here, their one of the recent singles for you to try.
Galeyd -Precious Heart

Wow, they really do sound like Deluhi. Well, I don't mind them sounding like Deluhi, they disbanded anyway.

That's very very true!!!

There are some people who simply won't listen to Galeyd just because this band sounds like Deluhi, they are narrow-minded. Deluhi was indeed one heck of an epic band, but they are no more, so yeah. Better to accept that already. Right?

They are very productive btw, do you want another links for their songs?

Well, that's a real pity. Even if they sound like Deluhi, it's not like they a patent on their sound or something like that. Actually there are a lot VK bands that sound alike. But who cares? If I like them, then I like them. :D

I couldn't agree more~
Signal just released a new EP 2 days ago btw, have you checked it out? it's badass as usual!
