Yep, I already got it. I really like their style. Are they good? Dude, they are awesome :)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mTWT3und7gE (my favourite song of them) Their style is comparable to 9 Goats Black Out, I think.
I just found this thread and had to take part in this discussion

lol I am sorry to say this before, I really really do not understand why VK fans are gradually moving to K-Pop, I am seriously do not understand group of boys / girls dancing around shaking their asses singing songs which aren't even their own composition. #epic facepalm#

Thank you for saying this, now I don't feel all alone anymore. I am feeling always pretty bad because everyone around me starts to listen to k-pop, and i just can't stand it.

It's just plain pop music. I mean we had all that in the 90's with nsync and the backstreet boys and now everyone starts to listen to this again and for me everything sounds the same. (Though i had these funny moments, when I listend j-radio and kpop song popped up and i could recognize it because I've watched the drama...)
But the main point is, that imo it's not great, artistic and beautiful music with a lot of variation, which you can listen to. If I wanted to listen to pop music, I could just switch on western radio music. But then again, I know that I am pretty onesided with my music taste.
The reason why jrock/visual kei captured me, was because they don't know boundaries, they mix every available genre with each other and create awsome, unique music (even with deephearted messages, like criticizing society and politics). That's something western music never did in such a melodious and special way. But kpop is just so random.

But the hype truly gets on my nerve. I had a friend back in 2003/2004 who listend to kpop already. It's so strange that the hype starts now. I mean I don't even understand, what the point would be to go on a kpop concert, except seeing five guys dance (and in such a ridiculous way). The music is all playback, the same you hear on a cd. That's the same britney spears does or did.
Maybe rock music is really dying and I am just too conservative too accept it

I am sorry if I hurt someones feelings, but somehow i had to let it out. I know every music taste differs. And I know how it sucks if someone tells you your music taste is bad (I have to hear this from my sister the whole time, telling me not to be so onesided, and my music sucks) But it's hard to accept that visual kei gets lesser and lesser recognition, just because the european fanbase vanished, since all the ppl here startet to listen to kpop.
there IS talent in kpop, really, but I agree that the genre is too limited, it all starts to sound the same. I'm not really into it. Jrock and VK are definately more varied and unique :D I *MIGHT* get to go see B'z in concert next month. I'm trying not to get my hopes up cause i'm pretty broke and hubby's not working right now but I will try to make it happen.

hmm, not for my ears. Out of the 6 years I am watching k-Dramas there was just one song, that nearly captured me. And even this wasn't enough to listen to it in my normal playlist. But what really would be great if Koreans would start to make rockmusic. I guess they could pull some awsome stuff.

I hope you can go. Concerts are the best thing that exists ^^.
I'm going!! my boss is paying hahaha. i've been doing overtime and working through renovations and whatnot, been pretty stressful, so he offered to pay my way as a thank you (i'd still rather have a raise instead but i'll take it) korean rock does exist it's just not popular like kpop
Somebody asked earlier about vk history a.s.o.

"Visual kei is a movement among Japanese musicians, that is characterized by the use of make-up, elaborate hair styles and flamboyant costumes, often, but not always, coupled with androgynous aesthetics.
Some sources state that visual kei refers to a music genre, or to a sub-genre of Japanese rock, with its sound usually related to glam rock, punk rock and heavy metal.
However other sources state that visual kei is only a fashion, with its unique clothing, make-up and participation in the related subculture being what exemplifies the use of the term.

Visual kei emerged in the early 1980s, pioneered by bands such as X Japan, D'erlanger, Buck-Tick and Color.

The term visual kei is believed to come from one of X Japan's slogans, "Psychedelic violence crime of visual shock".

Mine favorite VK band is X Japan. http://www.x-japan.de/history/history.htm
I like Luna Sea and Glay too.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_visual_kei_bands

From new vk music i like kinda few bc many newcomers do just souless sounds and main point is just glitering look. (sry.)
----
I dont like k-pop but i like some k-rock bands like Boohwal, who is still very good.
yeah some newer bands seem to be primarily about the look. I have a hard time getting into any new vk bands. it seems like there are a lot of disbands lately too, every time i discover a band i like i find out they just disbanded or they disband a couple weeks later. T__T lately i've been getting into Alice Nine though. I discovered Vidoll around the time they split but it seems like the vocalist is still active. I'm gonna have to check out Gotcharocka

Well, they said they're leaving PSC because of differences in direction, so I'm glad that they are choosing what they want to do for themselves, rather than listening to some suits (not that PSC is wholly bad, but a band's gotta do what a band's gotta do). (IMO) With the exception of the Koakuma Sparkling single (one of two people who seem to like the hole single) and Madship, this band seems to be really confused about what they want to do. I'm not too big a fan about their earlier work (I just can't be bothered to care at the moment~), but at least you knew what the heck was going on. Horror Yum Yum Show was a hot mess of cool visuals and awkward arrangements of conflicting music styles. I hope they resume activities with clearer heads.
I know that but it makes me sad ;__; BUT I know I can wait since I waited for An Cafe for 3-4 years and now they're coming back to Finland ~~
